2019 is a year filled with compelling Hollywood sci-fi movies. Sci-fi is the one genre is ever adapting to the constant growth of technology.

As many stories are being covered, from unique storylines to reinventions of classics unto the comic book superhero adaptations, movie productions have continued to amp up the visual styles and storytelling dynamics, as if there are no limitations to possibilities while catering to a vast range of types of audience.

We had a year filled with action-packed sci-fi movies from the likes of clashing AI robots in Terminator: Dark Fate and the iconic monster lizard fighting the god-like dark entities in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Also in this year are the long-awaited conclusions of the adventures of the most loved Marvel superhero team in Avengers: Endgame, the current highest-grossing movie of all time, and of the controversial, most debatable, latest Star Wars trilogy entitled Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker.

There are also contemplative dramas like the Brad Pitt-starring film Ad Astra and the Netflix thriller film Shadow Of The Moon, and the nonlinear stories like Robert Pattinson’s High Life and the reunion movie of Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, Serenity.

Overall, with such a variety of movie plots and effects from the movie genre, the team of ShawMedia TV Magazine has brought the list, in no particular order, and commentaries of the best sci-fi films of 2019.
